Company

Navigate to Company#

• Access the Structure sub-module of the Organisation module.

• Click on Companies as seen in Fig 1.1

• This displays a list view of Companies.

• Use the Filter button, when clicked, gives you a dropdown where you can specify various parameters for filtering the records:
  • Search string: for filtering records
  • Company type: A dropdown list of different types of companies
  • Status: A dropdown of different statuses

Create a new Company#

• To create a Company, hit the New button in the toolbar area and populate the form fields.

• The following are some of the fields that needs to be populated:

  • Parent Company: Only populate this field if the newly created company is part of a major company.
  • Company code
  • Company Name
  • Company Type
  • Manager

• You also need to populate the fields in the following tabs:

  • Address: The address of the Finance house
  • Contact Details: Contact details of the Company
  • Office setup
  • Accounts
  • After filling out the form, click the Save and Close button to save changes

Activate Newly Created Company#

• Search for the newly created company using the search filter. Filter for the company using the Company Type and Status of pending.
• The newly created company is returned
• Click the Activate button to activate the company and change its status from pending to active

View Company#

• To view a company, click the Id of the company, it redirects to view page

Edit Company#

• To edit a company, select the particular record you want to edit by clicking the radio button
• Click the Edit button

Deactivate Company#

• To deactivate a company, select the particular record you want to deactivate by clicking the radio button
• Click the Deactivate button
• You can only deactivate an active company

Recategorize Company#

• To recategorize a company, select the particular record you want to recategorize by clicking the radio button
• Click the Recategorize button

Change Ownership of a Company#

• To change ownership of a company, select the particular record you want to change by clicking the radio button
• Click the change button, input the new owner and execute

Merge 2 companies#

• To merge two companies, select the particular company you want to merge by clicking the radio button
• Click the merge button, input the new owner and execute
  • Delete Source: True or False
  • Source: search for the company
