GL Journal

Navigte to GL Journal#

• Step 1: Access the Direct Entries sub-module of the Finance module from the left sidemenu as shown in the fig1 below.
• Step 2: Click on GL Journal as shown in the fig1 below.

• This displays a list view of GL Journal.

• Use the Filter button, when clicked, gives you a dropdown where you can specify various parameters for filtering the records:
  • Search string: for filtering records
  • Company
  • From
  • To
  • Transaction Method
  • Status

Create a GL Journal#

• To create a GL Journal, hit the Create button in the toolbar area and populate the form fields.

• The following are some of the fields that needs to be populated:
  • Company
  • Transaction Date
  • Transaction Method
  • Description
• You also need to populate the fields in the Entries and Currency and Pivots
  • Click the New button in both the Entries and Currency and Pivots
  • After filling out the form, hit the Save and Close button.
• After saving, you will return to the list view of the GL Jounals, use the search filters to get the newly created GL Journal, specify a status of pending.

View a GL Journal#

• From the list view, click on the ID of the GL Journal to view it

Edit a GL Journal#

• From the list view, select the GL Journal account you want to edit by clicking on a radio button
• Click the edit button to edit the GL Journal you just selected
• After editing, save the changes.

Delete a GL Journal#

• From the list view, select the GL Journal you want to delete by clicking on a radio button
• Click the delete button to delete the GL Journal.

Open a GL Journal#

• From the list view, select the GL Journal you want to open by clicking on a radio button
• Click the Open button to open the GL Journal you just selected.

Close a GL Journal#

• From the list view, select the GL Journal you want to close by clicking on a radio button
• Click the Delete button to delete the GL Journal you just selected.

Unfinalize a GL Journal#

• From the list view, select the GL Journal you want to unfinalize by clicking on a radio button
• Click the Unfinalize button to render it unfinalized.
