User Templates

Navigate to User Templates#

• Access the Security sub-module of the System module

• Click on User Templates

• This displays a list view of User Templates.

• Use the Filter button, when clicked, gives parameters for filtering the records:
  • Search string: for filtering records
  • Auth Type: A drop down of auth types

Create a new User Template#

• To create a user template, hit the New button in the toolbar area and populate the form fields.

• The following are some of the fields that needs to be populated:

  • Name
  • Auth Type
  • Comments

• You also need to populate the fields in the following tabs:

  • Roles - select roles for the user
  • Apps - select the apps the user has access to

• After filling the form, hit the Save and close button to create the new template.

View User Template#

• Click the ID of the user template to view the selected template.

Edit User Template#

• To edit a user template, take the following steps:
  • From the list view, select the user template you want to edit and click the Edit button
  • This brings you to an edit view of the item where updates can be made.

NOTE: You can’t edit an active user template#

Delete a User Template#

• Select the user template you want to delete, click the Delete button

Activate a User Template#

• Only pending user template can be activated.
  • Use the Filter to search for the user template with a status of pending and hit the Activate button

Deactivate a User Template#

• Only active user template can be deactivated
  • Select the active user template you want to deactivate
  • Click the Deactivate button

Discard a User Template#

• Select the user template you want to discard, click the ellipsis(…) and hit the discard button

Undiscard a User Template#

• Select the user template you want to undiscard, click the ellipsis(…) and hit the undiscard button
